Dr. Andrew Lewis
Dr. Andrew Lewis established CruzMedMo in 2020 during the trials of the pandemic, he discovered the need for rapid PCR testing at a time when the turnaround time for laboratory PCR tests was 1-2 weeks. He knew the advances in laboratory testing were able to offer laboratory quality PCR results within hours. Later, as the pandemic moved into a more endemic phase, he shifted the business back towards his original vision of mobile acute care delivery. Bringing the urgent care to you delivers on that aim of empowering patients with care that they need and is convenient for them. With over 23 years of experience in urgent care and family medicine, years of working in corporate healthcare leadership as well as working with healthcare venture capitalists in innovations, he has an industry understanding and environments are required to make those innovations thrive and create that value for our community.
How We Work
We offer concierge services to the community without the heavy up-front concierge fees. Built into each visit is a smaller concierge fee ($150) during regular hours and ($250) for after-hours/weekends, which is paid at the time of booking
We are in-network with many insurances. Unfortunately, we are not contracted with MediCal or HMO/managed care plans.
As health care professionals with a collective experience of over 30 years throughout Santa Cruz County, we understand that medical services often do not meet the standards we expect from our healthcare providers. Making appointments weeks in advance, waiting several days for results, and dealing with hidden medical costs does not prioritize the wellbeing of patients or the safety of the community. Instead, our model brings healthcare to you when and where it is most needed and convenient. Dr. Lewis is board certified in Family Medicine and has been practicing Urgent Care medicine for the past 23+ years. He is able to expand his usual Urgent Care services by offering more immediate access to primary care services.
Our goal at CruzMedMo is to create a solution for inconvenient healthcare by eliminating long wait times in crowded urgent care or emergency rooms.

My experience was amazing! I was nervous going to be tested for Covid, but the staff was really nice, put me at ease and I got my test results (negative!) in 30 minutes. It was a huge relief and really easy to do. I’m so grateful they’re doing this in our community!
Got my booster! After checking Kaiser, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Costco... I saw someone else posted about getting their booster here. I checked their website and only saw information about paid testing (rather than vaccinations and boosters), but went with fingers crossed and was able to get my booster via walk-in. Good luck!
